I began taking photographs of my adopted southwest as a hobby.  That “hobby” has become a passion.  And I see my mission as one to share that “passion” through my photographs.

My work has evolved from the traditional methods of presentation to printing the final photographs on canvas.

Realizing that I could not have achieved the recognition and personal success that I have without the help of my many friends in the local art community, I have endeavored to repay that debt by becoming deeply involved as the Venue Coordinator for the Rio Rancho Art Association.  My reward?  A growing and successful association of some 120 artists working in a variety of media , displaying their work in over 15 different venues.

Many photographers have influenced me as I have tried to find my own unique style and subject matter.  I’ve been fortunate, as well, to be allowed exhibit space in numerous local venues:  the Albuquerque Little Theatre, the New Mexico State Fair, and the NM Museum of Natural History.……even having my work appear in “New Mexico Magazine”. I am currently a member of the Amapola gallery in Old Town.

Currently I am the president of the Rio Rancho Art Association.

Southwest Photoscapes

I grew up in New York but moved here some 30 years ago, adopting New Mexico and its surrounding states as my home of choice.  My specific interest in nature and the many cultures of the SW lead me to the realization that photography is a real art form.
