I an a self taught artist, taking every opportunity to learn at workshops, art classes and pribate classes. I have been painting for over 40 years, and will never cease being a student in the arts. I took classes at the University of New Mexico, CNM, Albuquerque Art Academy, and also private instruction in Canada and the USA. I work in oils, acrylics, watercolor and print making
Circumstances in my life took me to southwestern Ontario. This experience opened up my art to include watercolor, whick was the predominant form there at the time. I was an active member of the Lambeth ARt Association, showing in their annual Spring Show, which features over 100 artists. While in that area I was fortunate to be juried into the Museum London Art Mart every fall, also winning first prize at other shows. I also participated in a two woman show in 2003.
Upon my return to New Mexico in 2007 I was once again enthralled by the wonderfully vibrant skies, the mountains and the mesas. I joined the Rio Rancho Art Association in the summer of that year, and felt welcomed by this group. I have shown at 'EXPO New Mexico State Fair" September 2007, a juried show, and at many venues sponsored by the Rio Rancho Art Association. I am enjoyig my new levels of creative transformation and the realization that each project is an opportunity to learn and grow. As someone said, "art is a journey, not a destinatlion". My work is in private collections in England, Canada, and the United States.
