VOLUNTEERING WITH RRAA

The mission of RRAA is twofold: to promote art and our artists, and to reach out through art. Do do this we need a strong volunteer base, and all members are expected to do something we hope they will enjoy. The volunteer activities include everything from making a phone call, to assuming a leadership role. All sort of interests and skill sets are needed so there will always be a fit for everyone.

THE COMMITTEES:

OUTREACH: The outreach committee decides how and through what other non-profits we can best help use our talents to assist our community. You can see the sorts of activities and organizations by clicking HERE

HOSPITALITY: From openings to monthly meetings to the grand Christmas party in December, this group brings warmth, friendship and fun to all the activities. Volunteering here can be as simple as donating some cookies to the monthly meeting, or wiping down a table after an event. Coffee making is always appreciated too!

VENUES AND EXHIBITIONS: The venues and exhibitions are the key to getting your art out to the public, and requires the greatest number of volunteers. Every meeting some committee members help people sign up for the venues. People willing to assist in recording incoming art, hanging or taking down art, or evern running a small venue are always needed.

SPECIAL EVENTS AND PROJECTS: This category is a broad one, and volunteer duties is based on the particular event.

COMMUNICATIONS: This committee includes the newsletter, publicity for RRAA, photographing events, press releases, our blog, the yahoo group room and this website. The more publicity we get out to the public, the more we can promote your art, so help is always appreciated here.
